MID-WEEK REFLECTION

Stop avoiding the hard thing. The hard truth. The hard work. Whatever the challenge is that you know you need to overcome.

You think about it daily. The same thought. Maybe that thought goes away for a week or two, but then there it is again. Right in the front of your mind. Because deep down, you know it's what you need to do, but you're doing everything to avoid it.

It's scary. It's complicated. Because it's the unknown.

From experience, we play these things up in our heads so that they become this giant obstacle that seems life-ending. But once we start, once we make the first move, we realize it's not as bad as we thought.

So maybe the hard thing for you is going to the gym. Maybe it's having a difficult conversation. Maybe it's getting out of a life that you know isn't serving you the way you want.

Whatever it is, stop avoiding it. Acknowledge it, embrace the unknown, and tackle it. The most likely outcome is that you will love what comes out on the other side.

The world is getting softer. You don't have to. Hold the line. Set the standard.
